The Christian scriptures are a little like a puzzle. Lots of small pieces (stories, histories, poems, letters) that seem to riff on the same theme, but that don't always seem connected. Is there a way to piece them into a coherent, whole picture? And, if so, what will the final picture look like? In this episode, we begin to explore one particularly compelling way of thinking about the "big picture" of scripture.

How can people miss sources of life and joy when they are right in front of them? And why is it that Jesus was so big on food and wine? All this and more in Episode 7....

Why is it that the most religious people can sometimes be the ones who are least likely to understand what God is up to?

In Episode 6, we'll discuss the answer to this question in John Chapter 5. Plus...as a bonus: a little gratuitous Mac-head bashing. (And, yes, I did use the term out-moded term "Apple-head" instead; I will leave it to the Mac-heads to decide whether it was on purpose.)
